Diy wooden necklace

This weekend my family is having family pictures done. I wanted to find Fish an aqua colored necklace, but I didn't have much luck. So, I set out to make one. I picked up some wooden beads at Walmart, aqua paint and some stretchy beading cord... And then I go to work!

I painted a handful of beads with the aqua paint and let them dry. This took two coats on each bead (patience is key!) I ended up using square beads, which made painting them so much easier.

After I got them all painted I strung them onto the stretchy cord with some white beads I had laying around.

I love how it turned out! Doesn't it look like candy?! Fish is a happy girl as well!

Happy crafting!
